Dozens of Vehicles Vandalized at Pompano Beach Condo Complex

Authorities in Pompano Beach are investigating after nearly 80 vehicles were vandalized overnight.

It happened at Waterford Point Condominiums at 801 South Federal Highway.

Many of the residents were left wondering why someone would do this, with one stating, "Somebody even says their wallet was left behind."

Another puzzling piece to the story is, everyone who spoke with NBC 6 said it was a quiet night, despite 70 to 80 vehicle windows being smashed out.

"Nothing. Nobody heard anything," said one resident.

There is no security at Waterford Point, and that's why some residents believe the suspects were able to drive in and commit the crimes.

"They're already talking about putting security cameras up," a resident said.

According to a board member at the complex, two vehicles were stolen. The Broward Sheriff's Office has not confirmed that information. Overall, residents have been reporting a minimal amount of property stolen.

"They apparently went from vehicle to vehicle to vehicle and in some cases not taking anything," an official with Broward Sheriff's Office said.

That's what’s worrying many of the residents, that all this damage was someone's idea of fun.

If you have any information about this case, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers (954) 493-TIPS.
