An elderly woman from Argentina died while snorkeling off of Key Largo over the weekend, authorities said.
Maria Aviani, 73, was seen swimming around in the water before she was found floating, barely breathing on Saturday afternoon. She had been on the commercial dive boat called the Dolphin, out of Pennekamp State Park.
She was brought aboard the boat and help was called. CPR was performed as the boat went to shore.
She was pronounced dead at Mariner's Hospital. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
