With Friday being celebrated as International Women’s Day, some of the top females from the world of entertainment to business will be taking part in an event to honor the contributions and continue the progress.
The event will take place at the 1 Hotel on South Beach starting at 6:30 p.m. with a panel discussion that will include NBC 6 morning anchor Sheli Muniz – followed by a celebration party with music from female DJs.
“I think we’re in an interesting climate right now where women are being listened to for the very first time and women that have worked really hard to get where they are are being taken more seriously than ever,” said Violet Camacho from Hauteliving. “I think this is an opportunity where we can really ask for that gender equality in the workplace and even in our society”
