Ex-Broward Teacher's Union President Pat Santeramo Found Guilty of Corruption

Former Broward Teacher's Union president Pat Santeramo was found guilty of corruption Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Santeramo received more than $165,000 in kickbacks from inflated invoices for construction work done at union headquarters in Tamarac.

A jury convicted him and the judge is allowing him to remain free until sentencing. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

Santeramo is set to go on trial again next month on federal mail fraud charges.
