The fight to determine who should be the mayor of Miami Lakes continued Wednesday between the City and former Mayor Michael Pizzi.
Arguments were heard in court from Pizzi's attorney, as well as attorneys for the City of Miami Lakes and sitting mayor Wayne Slaton.
Circuit Judge Cardonne Ely should render a decision by April 30th.
In March, she ruled that Pizzi was entitled to resume his duties as mayor, and receive back pay.
But, she issued a stay on the ruling pending an appeal.
Pizzi was suspended by Governor Rick Scott after he was charged with bribery and extortion back in 2013. He was acquitted last year.
