Family Of Slain Liquor Store Owner Makes Plea as Detectives Hone in on Suspects

Boynton Beach detectives announced they have suspects and they know who the shooter is

The tears and pain still fresh even though the slaying off Soheila Marchal's father was just shy of a year ago.

Ali Arezoumandifar sold his Boynton Beach liquor store and was working his very last shift hours from retirement when a gunman robbed, shot and killed Ali.

Soheila is making a plea for someone to come forward and name the killer.

"My father was all for fairness so it would be the fair, the right thing to do,” Marchal said at a news conference Tuesday.

Just before that plea for help, Boynton Beach detectives announced they have suspects and they know who the shooter is.

"The suspects we have identified are from the South Florida area; however, they're familiar with Boynton Beach. We will not rest to we get justice for the family," said Det. Marco Vellari.

Why don’t police make the arrests?

They wouldn’t answer only to say any other information would jeopardize the investigation.

But they’re hoping Marchal’s emotion will touch someone enough to come forward.

"He has a great grandson who just turned 2 years old. The holidays are very difficult for us, brings tears of sadness. The only way we'll feel better is by capturing the people who did this,” Marchal said tearfully.

Ali had 4 kids, 6 grand kids and one great grandson. His retirement was to be spent enjoying them.

With a crushed heart, Marchal has one, simple thing to say to the trigger man.

"Why?"

Since the shooting, the liquor store Ali sold went out of business.
