Officers arrived at the scene in unincorporated Broward County near the 2700 block of Northwest 9th Street just before 12:30 a.m. Friday, where the victim was found shot to death.

"We heard the shot, three shots about 12:30," neighbor Vanessa Milline said. "After I seen him start bleeding out the mouth and doing the short breaths, I knew he wasn't gonna make it."

Family members told NBC 6 that the victim, who they identified as 38-year-old Channing Howard, was shot after getting into an argument with a neighbor. Police have not confirmed the victim’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

"Somebody killed him, he didn’t have to die like that, you know what I mean?" said Howard's cousin, Eric Howard. "We just want justice, that’s all."

Officials have also not released any details on the person who fired the shots at Howard, including if they have been taken into custody at this time.
