FBI Investigates Bank Robberies in Hialeah, Davie

The FBI is investigating two bank robberies in South Florida Wednesday morning.

The first robbery happened around 9:40 a.m. at the Regent Bank at 2205 S. University Drive in Davie, FBI officials said.

Officials said the robber entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. No one was injured but money was taken.

Less than an hour later, around 10:23 a.m., the InterAmerican Bank at 4090 W. 12th Avenue in Hialeah was also robbed, officials said.

In that robbery, a suspect displayed a handgun before demanding cash. Customers were inside but no one was injured. Money was taken but the amount wasn't disclosed.
