No one was injured after a fire broke out at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park during the Festival of the Lion King Show.
According to WESH-TV, an NBC affiliate in central Florida, the incident happened at about 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Officials say smoke was visible, but flames were not seen.
Stagehands were able to put out the fire with fire extinguishers. Officials say there was no damage, but there was debris left behind. Officials say the theater was evacuated.
As a result of Monday’s incident, evening shows were canceled and it was possible that early morning shows on Tuesday would be canceled as well.
