Firefighters Battling Small Brush Fire in Southwest Miami-Dade

Firefighters are on the scene of a small brush fire burning in Southwest Miami-Dade in the area of SW 120th Avenue and 232nd Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is battling the flames from the ground and in the air.

They are dropping buckets of water to try to put that fire out.

So far, there are at least 20 acres burned, but no homes are in danger.

This comes after a massive brush fire that burned for days this earlier week, scorching more than 2,000 acres.

No cause of the fire has been released, but officials say it was likely sparked by lightning.
