Firefighters Rescue Resident and Cat in Coral Springs Apartment Fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation

A resident and a cat were sent to the hospital after an early morning fire in Coral Springs on Saturday.

According to Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, firefighters responded to an apartment fire located near Northwest 30th Street and 91st Avenue.

They say a resident was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation - while a cat was rescued and taken to Coral Springs Animal Hospital.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
