Police are investigating after five people were shot outside a northwest Miami-Dade home Tuesday night.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said the five people were shot in the area of 17th Avenue and Northwest 86th Terrace.
MDPD said all five people - including three teens aged 17, 18 and 19 - were shot in the lower extremities and transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
Everyone is expected to be okay.
Family members identified one of the victims as 20-year-old Jada Miller. They said she was shot six times in a drive-by shooting.
"It was kinda unbelievable. We came out last night and thank God everybody is okay," said Miller's uncle, Jefferey Humes.
The shooting occurred near where a 16-year-old was shot dead on Friday.
"We have to be better than this. We can't let the shootings keep happening," Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle tweeted. "5 people are spending the beginning of the New Year in a hospital."
