Florida AG Gets Time With Oprah

TV-loving McCollum chats with TV-Talk Queen

Attorney General Bill McCollum likes seeing his face on TV in his internet predator ads, and now the TV-loving pol is getting even more time on the airwaves, this time with Oprah.

McCollum, whose ad blitz against cybercrime is costing taxpayers nearly $2.5 million, gets to chat with the daytime talk TV queen today, along with Maureen Horkan, director of his cybercrimes unit, and Chuck McMullen, chief of law enforcement, according to the Miami Herald.

Though he claims the ads are meant to protect children from cyber crimes, the Florida AG has taken plenty of flak for what some percieve as the ads' dual purpose of self-promotion for McCollum's 2010 reelection bid.

Either way, the Oprah plug should give McCollum all the TV face time he needs.
