Police have arrested a 21-year-old man near St. Petersburg after he admitted to dressing up as a dog and videotaping himself performing sex acts on his Siberian Husky.

Christian Nichols was taken into custody Monday at his home in Oldsmar, where he was charged with one county of aggravated animal cruelty. Nichols is being held at the Pinellas County jail while detectives say additional charges are likely.

According to NBC affiliate WFLA-TV, an investigation began last month when a person in another state called Animal Services in the county to report video and photos of a man having sexual conduct with the dog.

Detectives tracked the video, showing a man dressed in a black and white costume and engaging in the acts while the dog was in visible distress, back to Nichols.

Animal Services officials removed the Siberian Husky and another dog from the home following Nichols’ arrest.
