Florida Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Threats to Kill Cops Inside New York City Bus Station

An 18-year-old Florida man was arrested Wednesday night in New York City after police found a fully loaded gun in his bag and a witness heard him making threats to kill officers.

Hunter Lee Taylor, who lives north of Orlando, was reportedly smoking marijuana inside the city’s Port Authority bus terminal with a man when Taylor reportedly said “Let’s off some cops”, according to affiliate WNBC-TV.

After Taylor then opened his bag to show off the weapon, the witness walked away and located an officer nearby. Police searched Taylor’s bad and made an arrest.

The witness, who lives in a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, was interviewed and released. Taylor was transferred to a Manhattan jail early Thursday morning.

NYPD officials say the investigation is ongoing, but they believe it was an isolated incident and no commuters were ever in danger.
