Florida Man Jailed After Competitor's Fish Bait Found Dead

Stiff competition between two Florida fish bait companies has resulted in an arrest.

Boynton Beach police say 25-year-old Alexander Ramer of Lake Worth was charged with felony criminal mischief Thursday after killing the live bait of a competing company. Officials say the victim caught Ramer on video pouring what was believed to be bleach on his bait pen. Nearly 200 fish were killed, and police say they had a value of about $20,000.

The incident took place May 31. The live bait was slated to be used in upcoming fishing tournaments. It wasn't known if Ramer had an attorney.
