A Miami truck driver is charged with shooting a gun at another truck during a road rage incident in Immokalee.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office charged 32-year-old Carlos Dearmas of Miami with firing into an occupied vehicle on Friday. Investigators say he shot at a fellow truck driver over an argument over who had the right of way while exiting Interstate 75.
Both drivers were headed to the same sand mine. The victim suffered minor cuts from glass that broke when the bullet shattered two windows.
Deputies found Dearmas in line to have his truck filled with sand after the shooting. They didn't find a gun, but he tested positive for gunpowder residue.
It was not immediately known if Dearmas had a lawyer and a phone listing for him wasn't available. Dearmas' bond has been set at $15,000.
