A Florida man has been arrested after authorities said he was driving drunk and crashed into singer Rod Stewart's mailbox.
Palm Beach police said Michael Hutson Lutz, 37, was weaving in the road when they pulled him over Tuesday. According to the arrest report, Lutz hit the singer's mailbox as he tried to stop for police, causing an estimated $500 of damage.
Authorities said Lutz had a blood-alcohol level of almost three times the legal limit.
The News Herald reports Lutz was charged with driving under the influence with property damage.
A message could not be left at the jail Saturday and it's unclear if Lutz had retained an attorney who could comment on the charges.
Stewart is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Living Legend, according to his bio. He was born in England and is known for such tracks as "Tonight's the Night," "Maggie May" and "I Don't Want to Talk About It."
