AT&T said an issue affecting Florida customers calling 911 Wednesday evening has been resolved.
The outage was first reported around 9 p.m. and was affecting several states, including Florida, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C.
A spokeswoman for AT&T in South Florida said the company was working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Just before 10:30 p.m., AT&T said the issue was fixed.

Several law enforcement agencies in South Florida provided alternate numbers AT&T users can call in case of an emergency.
