A Florida teen told police he was only joking when he posted a photo of a BB gun on social media in what appeared to be a threat to students at his high school.
Port St. Lucie police tell news outlets the 14-year-old Treasure Coast High School student posted the photo on Snapchat along with a caption that read: "I dare anyone to come to school Tuesday."
The Palm Beach Post reports that police learned of the threat late Sunday and met with the teen and his parents. The teen told police it was a joke. Police located the BB gun in the photo.
No charges have been filed.
