Florida Woman Accused of Urinating in Ice Cream Maker at Shop

Jung Soon Wypcha, 66, was arrested Monday on charges including criminal mischief and violating Florida's anti-tampering act

A woman is facing charges after authorities say she was caught on camera picking her nose and sticking her hands in ice cream and later using an ice cream maker as a toilet at a Florida shop.

Jung Soon Wypcha, 66, was arrested Monday on charges including criminal mischief and violating Florida's anti-tampering act for her actions at Lu Lu’s Ice Cream Shop in Indian Shores, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office arrest report.

According to the report, starting on June 17, Wypcha was seen on video using the shop's bathroom with the door wide open on five separate occasions and didn't wash her hands. She was then seen walking over to the freezer where organic ice cream is stored and put her hands into ice cream containers, the report said.

One video showed Wypcha picking her nose and sticking her hands in ice cream, while another showed her opening a freezer door and spitting into ice cream containers, the report said.

On June 22, Wypcha tried to use the bathroom but couldn't get the locked door open, so she grabbed a bucket used to churn the ice cream and urinated in it, the report said. She then emptied the bucket in the sink marked "rinse," which is used for washing ice cream folding utensils and mixing bowls, the report said.

"These actions committed by Jung Soon Wypcha caused the store to close and have approx. $2000 worth of product destroyed to ensure public safety," the report noted.

The report didn't indicate whether Wypcha was an employee of the shop.

Wypcha, of St. Petersburg, was booked into jail and released on bond late Monday night, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
