A former City of Miami police officer will spend decades in jail for a child pornography conviction.
Juan Roman was sentenced Thursday to 300 months in prison for possessing and receiving child pornography.
The 57-year-old former police officer previously pled guilty to receiving and possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
He will be forced to register as a sex offender upon his release and will also have to live the rest of his life supervised.
