Former Palm Beach County Middle School Teacher Wanted by FBI on Child Porn Charges

The FBI is searching for a former Palm Beach County middle school teacher who they say is wanted on child pornography charges.

A federal arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for Corey Dejuan Perry, 33, of West Palm Beach, who hasn't been seen since March 24, FBI officials said.

Perry, who was a teacher at H. L. Watkins Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens, is wanted for production of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and enticement, officials said.

At a Wednesday news conference, Palm Beach School Superintendent Robert Avossa said some of the alleged victims may be Perry's former students.

"As a lifelong educator, I am disgusted at what I have learned," Avossa said. "He has hurt innocent children. This individual has embarrassed his school, his community and his entire profession by harming the most important thing entrusted to him, our students."

Records show Perry has been working with children all the way back to 1999, starting at a Boys and Girls Club in Tennessee.

The Palm Beach School Board Police Department, West Palm Beach Police Department, the State Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI are investigating the case.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or who thinks they may be a victim, are urged to call the FBI in Miami at 754-703-2000.
