Former Palm Beach County Teacher Wanted on Child Porn Charges May Be in Nashville Area: FBI

Reward of up to $25,000 offered for arrest of Corey Dejuan Perry

A former Palm Beach County middle school teacher wanted on child pornography charges is believed to be in the Nashville area, FBI officials said Thursday as they announced a reward of up to $25,000 for his arrest.

Corey Dejuan Perry, 33, who was a teacher at H. L. Watkins Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens, is wanted for production of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and enticement, officials said.

A warrant was issued for Perry's arrest on March 28, and he hasn't been seen since the afternoon of March 26. He remains a wanted fugitive.

Perry's rental car was found in Fort Lauderdale on April 7 with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition, FBI officials said Thursday.

It's believed Perry left South Florida and is in the Nashville area, where he has relatives, officials said. He may be clean shaven and possibly wearing a disguise.

At a news conference last month, Palm Beach School Superintendent Robert Avossa said some of the alleged victims may be Perry's former students.

"As a lifelong educator, I am disgusted at what I have learned," Avossa said. "He has hurt innocent children. This individual has embarrassed his school, his community and his entire profession by harming the most important thing entrusted to him, our students."

Records show Perry has been working with children all the way back to 1999, starting at a Boys and Girls Club in Tennessee.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or who thinks they may be a victim, are urged to call the FBI in Miami at 754-703-2000.
