- A former star of the hit Univision show "Sabado Gigante", Adonis Losada, was sentenced in Miami-Dade County for child porn.
A former star of the popular show "Sabado Gigante" will spend the rest of his life in prison following his latest conviction involving child pornography.
Adonis Losada, who played "Dona Concha" on the Univision variety show, was sentenced to 153 years in prison by a Miami-Dade judge Wednesday for possession of child pornography.
Losada is already serving a 10-year sentence for similar charges in Palm Beach County. He was convicted of 52 counts of possession, some of the images reportedly including babies and toddlers.
During the trial, jurors were shown images of Losada watching child pornography as well as a recorded phone call between him and a undercover detective discussing sexual relations with young boys and girls.
Losada insisted he didn't knowingly send or receive child porn. But the jury didn't believe him and neither did the judge who handed down the sentence. Frank Quintero, a criminal defense attorney, followed the case closely.
"The sentence was affected by the testimony the judge probably found to be not credible," Quintero said.
