All is back to normal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after a bomb scare forced evacuations just after midnight Friday morning.
According to officials, a bomb sniffing dog caught the smell of something on a bag located in the Southwest Airlines baggage area. The dog reportedly sniffed the same bag twice.
Passengers had to evacuate the terminal as the bomb squad responded to the piece of luggage.
Airline officials say the terminal was given the all clear sometime around 2 a.m.
It is not known what smell triggered the dog.
According to the airline, passengers will not experience any residual delays.
No further information was immediately available.
