The City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, has lifted the Precautionary Boil Water Notice effective immediately.
Test results show the city's water has been and continues to be safe for drinking and all other uses.
The results indicate that water leaving treatment facilities and flowing to customers is safe and not affected by the e-coli that was recently discovered in a raw, untreated sample from a ground well that has been taken out of service.
