Four people were rushed to the hospital after an early morning shooting at a Deerfield Beach club that has had issues with violence events in the past.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene at Club Tropicante, located off near NE 42nd Street and North Dixie Highway just before 2:30 a.m. Monday after reports of shots being fired.

Three men and one woman were found suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to Broward Health North Hospital.

The club has dealt with issues before, including last May where a man was found shot outside the club after officers were involved in a shootout with another man.

The city has made efforts in the past to attempt closing the club permanently, citing over a dozen incidents in a three year period that included shootings, one stabbing and multiple assaults.
