Children and teens in South Florida have a chance to get a free meal for lunch even though the school year is weeks away from starting.

The Summer BreakSpot program provides supervised locations across the state to provide free meals to children 18 years old and under while schools are not in session, part of a partnership sponsored by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Hundreds of locations are available across Miami-Dade and Broward counties for the next few weeks until the school year begins.
