“Jerusalem Live” Heads To South Florida

Hit Israeli TV show will film live on Tuesday night in Fort Lauderdale

A slice of Israel is coming to Fort Lauderdale.

“Tuesday Night Live in Jerusalem,” Israel’s highest rated television show, is kicking off its first-ever American tour in South Florida. For all you boobalahs out there, this is gonna be good!

Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel, a pair of American-born Israeli Defense Force soldiers, had a brilliant idea: better explain Jews, Judaism and Israel to all the world, and why not showbiz?

Despite having little to no TV experience, the duo launched their TV program. Another miracle in the desert was born when it became Israel’s highest rated English-language program.

The show has opened new lines of communication and new understandings of what's going on in Israel. You may see plenty of Israel on CNN, but this is way different.

“By bringing a taste of Israel to cities throughout America, we are sharing a celebration of Israel with the people that support us and are showing the world we stand together,” said Gimple.

A live taping of the show, which airs worldwide on cable and satellite, is set for Tuesday, January 18th at 7:00pm at The Parker Playhouse. Miami City Commissioner Richard Dunn and Miami Gardens Councilman Andre Williams will be honored for their service in building bridges between communities and cultures and their strong support for Israel.

More than a thousand people are expected in the studio audience. They’ll hear politics from Congressman Allen West, and very likely some kvetching from comedian Jackie Mason. The audience will also hear from Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist who now speaks out on behalf of America and Israel.
