A funeral has been scheduled for a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel killed in a small plane crash in Florida's Panhandle.
Larry Eli Caison died last week in the crash. The Northwest Florida Daily News reports that a memorial service was scheduled Friday at a Shalimar church.
Caison was flying from Palm Beach County to Destin to be with family for the Christmas holiday when his single-engine aircraft crashed in a heavily wooded and remote area of Bay County.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
