Motorists are being advised to avoid a major section of one Sunny Isles Beach road as workers continue to repair a natural gas leak Wednesday.
Officials are continuing to work on the area of Collins Avenue southbound between 181st Street and 174th Street. All traffic in both directions is being diverted into the northbound lanes, meaning heavy delays are expected.
The gas leak was repaired around 3:30 p.m. and all lanes were back open, but delays were expected for a few more hours.
