Gas Prices Continue Drop in South Florida Ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday

As folks across South Florida finalize their plans for the Thanksgiving plans, you may have a few extra bucks for the trip as gas prices continue to drop.

The average cost for a gallon of fuel is now $2.66 in Miami, down five cents from this point last week according to GasBuddy. While that number is still over eight cents higher than this point last year, it has gone down over 18 cents over the last month.

Across Florida, the average is down seven cents from last week and is now $2.57 – a number down 25 cents over the last month. Nationally, the average stands at $2.67 a gallon – which is over 12 cents higher than last year but down over 22 cents from last month.

In Miami-Dade, the cheapest gas is $2.42 at the Sam’s Club located off NW 13th Terrace in Doral and $2.49 at the Chevron located at 20155 NW 67th Avenue in Hialeah.

In Broward, the cheapest gas is at the Costco located off Sample Road and Powerline Road in Pompano Beach for $2.37 and the Wawa located off Commercial Boulevard and NW 94th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale for $2.39.
