It's is the biggest celebration of the spirit and culture of the LGBTQ community as Miami Beach Gay Pride takes over the city this weekend.

In its 10th year, the celebration has been stepped up from a startup neighborhood event to a global event welcoming the biggest names in Hollywood to perform and serve as Grand Marshalls.

Stars ranging from Miami’s own Gloria Estefan to actor Mario Lopez, radio hots Elvis Duran will be joined by the 2018 Grand Marshall, seven time world champion and silver Olympic medalist Gus Kenworthy.

Kenworthy will be part of Sunday’s world famous grand pride parade down historic Ocean Drive. Officials expect the number of attendees to top 2017, when over 130,000 LGBTQ members and allies came out for the festivities.

The events start Friday with several sold out events, including the VIP Gala at teh Faena Forum on Collins Avenue. Saturday will include events for LGBTQ youth and the Beach Party Festival Village in Lummus Park starting at noon.

Starting at noon Sunday, Pride celebrates a day "out" in the boldest, biggest most colorful way. NBC 6 and Telemundo 51, the first sponsors of Miami Beach Gay Pride, is proud to back the community again in its 10th year.
