Georgia Toddler Reported Missing Found Safe in Florida

The toddler's father was arrested for interference with custody

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found missing Georgia toddler, 18-month-old Carter Johnson, Monday in Tamarac.

Carter was located at an apartment on Northwest 57th Court.

A Georgia AMBER Alert had been issued for the child last Friday after his noncustodial father, Willis Johnson, 31, took him across state lines.

FDLE agents, working with Georgia investigators, located the child and officers convinced the father to release Carter to FDLE agents.

Willis was arrested on a Georgia warrant for interference with custody by taking a juvenile across state lines. He was booked into the Broward County Jail.

There's no word on whether he has an attorney.
