Good Samaritan Saves Kitten Thrown From Car Window on I-95

A good Samaritan is being credited with saving a 3-month-old kitten thrown out of a car on Interstate 95.

The kitten was thrown out of a car window on the I-95 northbound ramp off Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach at about 5:20 p.m. on July 21, according to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.

The good Samaritan witnessed the incident, stopped rush-hour traffic and managed to rescue the kitten before it was injured further.

The kitten, now known as Summer, is in stable but critical condition under the care of veterinary staff at Palm Beach County ACC. Summer will need orthopedic surgery to fix a fractured femur, according to ACC.

Investigators are asking the public to please report any information regarding this crime. A description of the vehicle involved or license plate number will assist investigators with finding those responsible.
