Good Samaritans Save Iguana on Busy Roadway in Boca Raton

An iguana is lucky to be alive after Good Samaritans stopped on a South Florida highway to make sure it didn’t get run over.

NBC affiliate WPTV-TV reports the encounter took place along I-95 in Boca Raton on Tuesday, when Cintia Amstalden stopped near the intersection with Spanish River Boulevard.

Amstalden posted on social media that she couldn’t catch the animal but got help from two men who stopped to make sure she was okay, adding the men risked their lives by going into traffic to make sure the animal made it to the grassy area.

Eventually, the iguana was able to get back to safety and all the humans were also okay.
