Heat Fall to 2-8 at Home With Loss to Knicks

The Heat continued to struggle at home with their 114-93 loss to the Knicks on Tuesday

The Miami Heat suffered another defeat at home with their 114-93 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

Miami is a paltry 2-8 at home this season after this loss. Miami is 7-14 overall mostly due to that poor play at American Airlines Arena. Miami kept the game close in the first half, but things got away from it in the second half. The Knicks outscored the Heat by ten in the second half alone.

The Heat were playing with a depleted roster once again and only had nine players available for the game. All nine men took part in the game, but the lack of depth showed in the rough second half.

Hassan Whiteside did all he could once again with 23 points and 14 rebounds for yet another double-double. Whiteside also had an assist, a steal and three blocks.

Goran Dragic led the team with 29 points to go along with seven assists and four rebounds. After nearly triple-doubling last game, Dragic was once again heavily used in this one. The guard was a perfect 4-4 on his three point tries and tossed up 17 shots overall.

Wayne Ellington continued to contribute with 14 points in another start. The lack of depth has given Ellington an opportunity to start and he has answered the call.

The Heat will head right back onto the road to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
