Heat Take Down Bulls for Second Straight Win

The Heat won for a second straight time with their 129-111 win over the Bulls on Tuesday

The Miami Heat easily beat the Chicago Bulls 129-111 for a second straight victory.on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

The win was aided by a strong third quarter for Miami where the team outscored Chicago by ten points. The Heat kept that momentum going in the final quarter of play to seal the victory. It was an important win for Miami over a Chicago team that it could battle for playoff positioning.

In his home debut, Joe Johnson had 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists. It was an electric night for Miami's newest player. Johnson showed signs of All-Star days with the big night in front of his new fans.

Hassan Whiteside continued his exceptional play with another big night at home. Whiteside had 26 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks in the win. The center now has six straight double-doubles and has come off the bench in all six games.

Luol Deng had 20 points and four rebounds in a team-high 37 minutes. After a streak of double-doubles, Deng has remained strong both offensively and defensively. Deng was very efficient on 8-10 shooting and was one of three Miami players with 20 or more points.

Goran Dragic had a double-double of his own with 17 points and 11 assists in the victory. Dragic added a steal in another big night. Since the All-Star break, Dragic has been one of Miami's most consistent and productive performers. Dragic's excellent play has come at a perfect time for the Heat as they have battled injuries at the point guard spot.

Dwyane Wade contributed a solid game as well with 18 points and seven assists. Wade did turn the ball over five times, but did plenty when he held onto it. The All-Star added a steal and a block as well across 34 minutes.

The Heat will go for three wins in a row when they host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
