Heat Tie Up NBA Finals With Win in San Antonio

The Heat knotted up the NBA Finals on Sunday with a 98-96 win in San Antonio.

The Miami Heat picked up a big win and tied the NBA Finals with a 98-96 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

LeBron James looked fully recovered from his cramping issues from the get-go. The star has 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in slightly over 18 minutes of play during the first half. Chris Bosh also had a good half with 10 points of his own and three boards. It was a pretty balanced half with points being spread around rather evenly.

The Heat trailed by 11 at one point in the first half but battled back to make it a 43-43 game hen the halftime buzzer rang. James sat in different spurts than he is accustomed to but ended up playing about as much as he normally does in the first half of a game. Of note was a lack of time for Shane Battier who saw zero minutes on the court during the half.
James went on a solo 8-0 run midway through the third quarter including two three-pointers. He had 14 points in the quarter alone. The two teams exchanged baskets and leads for a good portion of the fourth quarter.
Bosh hit a three-pointer with 1:18 left to put Miami up by two. A layup by Dwyane Wade with only nine seconds left put the Heat up five to seal the victory. James finished with 35 points while Wade had 14 oints of his own.
Game three will take place on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. from American Airlines Arena in Miami.
