Heightened Security Presence at Miami International Airport After Paris Attacks

Law enforcement agencies have heightened their security presence at Miami International Airport in response to the attacks in Paris, officials said.

While there is no specific threat to the airport, the measures are being taken "out of an abundance of caution," a release from the Miami-Dade Aviation Department said.

"Miami-Dade Police, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Transportation Security Administration have increased their vigilance inside the airport and on its perimeter," the release said. "These enhanced security measures should not cause any delays or inconveniences to our passengers, whose safety and security is our top priority."

Officials said all flights between MIA and France are operating as scheduled.
