Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow Surveys Irma Damage in Keys With Sen. Marco Rubio

As the Florida Keys continue to rebuild following Hurricane Irma, one of the most popular athletes in recent memory from the state will be in the area to survey damage and help those in need.

Tim Tebow, a Heisman Trophy winner for the Florida Gators, will join Senator Marco Rubio on Big Pine Key starting Thursday. Both men will meet with local officials and volunteers and later distribute food to residents in the area.

Big Pine Key, located close to 30 miles away from Key West, was one of the areas hardest hit from the Category 4 storm, which made landfall just miles away.

Tebow joins a growing list of celebrities and politicians who have toured the area, including House Speaker Paul Ryan’s tour with Rubio on Wednesday.
