Police Seek Suspects Who Pawned Fake Gold Jewelry in Hialeah

Police are looking for four people suspected of defrauding pawn shops throughout Hialeah.

Moise Bruno, 32; Rishana Contreras Ramirez, 25; Joane Mary Gomez, 28; and Nadia Michelle Morales-Alvarez, 27, are all accused of pawning fake gold jewelry, the Hialeah Police Department announced Thursday.

All the pawned jewelry was coated with a small amount of gold in order for it to pass the initial gold verification and inspection phase, police said. Upon further inspection, the jewelry was discovered to be fake and was deemed worthless.

Bruno and Morales-Alvarez are both convicted felons, according to police. All of the suspects are believed to reside in the Orlando area.
