For the third time in two days, burglars have used a car to smash through the front entrance of a South Florida cell phone store.

The latest burglary happened just after 3 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Verizon Wireless at 1599 W. 49th Street in Hialeah.

The crooks left the front doors to the store completely smashed in. It's unknown what merchandise was stolen.

Two similar smash and grab burglaries were reported at cell phone stores in Hollywood and Homestead Tuesday.

Crooks used a car to smash into the Sprint store at 3080 Northeast 41st Terrace in Homestead and two hours later the T-Mobile store at 4961 Sheridan Street was burglarized using the same method.

Police haven't said whether the burglaries are related.
