Police are investigating after a high school student was stabbed during a fight with other students in Lauderhill Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened after the students from Piper High School got off a school bus in the 5800 block of Northwest 19th Street around 3:20 p.m., Lauderhill Police officials said.
A fight broke out and one student was stabbed. The male student was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in serious condition.
Police said another teen, a juvenile female, was arrested. She has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses to find out what may have led to the fight.
No other information was immediately known.
