A suspect who barricaded himself inside a Hollywood house with a child Sunday was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
Damian Osorio Castellano, 41, died in the incident that happened at a home in the 7100 block of Taft Street.
Sunday morning, Hollywood Police made contact with a woman who claimed to be the victim of a domestic violence incident.
The woman said she was being beaten by a man inside the house.
She was able to escape with one child, but another minor child remained inside with the suspect.
The woman also told police the suspect is known to have weapons inside the home.
Officers made contact with Castellano, and negotiators successfully arranged for the safe release of the other child.

The suspect returned inside and continued to deliberate with negotatiors.
A SWAT team eventually went inside and found the man dead.
Castellano has been arrested in the past for domestic violence, battery on a law enforcement officer, and assault.
