If you’re looking for a way to make new holiday memories with the family, you can do so at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
At the Magic Kingdom, check out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The specially ticketed, after hours party allows you to enjoy all the park’s attractions in a more intimate setting. Additionally, guests will be able to watch a special fireworks show, take part in dance parties, enjoy complimentary cookies and cocoa, and snowfalls on Main Street U.S.A. Tickets start at $99.
At Hollywood Studios, there are a variety of new ways to get festive. At the all-new Toy Story Land, guests can expect to see a variety of decorations scattered throughout the land. Plus, guests will hear sleigh bells ringing while on Slinky Dog Dash. Be sure to look out for the characters, as they may be wearing a special holiday wardrobe.
Guests should make plans to hang back and watch the “Jingle Ball, Jingle BAM!” nighttime extravaganza at Hollywood Studios. The show follows a group of elves who are on a mission to search for Santa Clause. The show features iconic music, fireworks, special effects and projections cast on the Hollywood Tower Hotel, also known as the Tower of Terror.
At Epcot, guests can be moved by a performance of the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Those who attend will enjoy the story of Christmas as told by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a full choir and a 50-piece orchestra.
Also at Epcot, guests will be able to indulge in holiday-inspired treats at the Holiday Kitchens. New this year is the L’Chaim! Kitchen, featuring traditional Hebrew dishes. At other food stations, guests can enjoy treats like queso fresco stuffed arepas topped with shrimp, smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole and much more.
New this year, those who celebrate Diwali can do so at Animal Kingdom. A new live show called “UP! A Great Bird Adventure” will allow guests to join Russell and Dog from “Up” in hearing about the story of Diwali, while discovering some of the world’s most exotic birds.

There are also a variety of other holiday offerings around Walt Disney World. At Disney Springs, guests can experience the Christmas Tree Trail, which features 27 unique holiday trees inspired from a variety of films. They can also visit the different resorts and see the different holiday décor, such as the life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
If looking festive and feeling fabulous is your thing, check out Character Couture, a package which offers sophisticated hairstyles, with detailed makeup and nail designs inspired by Disney characters. These services are offered at salons at certain resorts.
