The remains of a human body were found in a Miami Gardens canal Saturday afternoon.
The discovery was made after police received an anonymous call about a possible body floating in the water near Northwest 207th Street and Northwest 15th Avenue.
Because the body was decomposed, authorities have not yet determined the sex or race of the individual, according to the Miami Gardens Police Department. A post mortem examination will take place at the Medical Examiner’s officer, where the body has been transported.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
