Hundreds Evacuated After Dania Beach Apartment Floods Once Again

The cause of the leak has not been found

About 200 residents have once again been evacuated from a Dania Beach apartment building after a second leak from the same rooftop swimming pool in a little over month.

Residents say they were just getting back on their feet when this last incident occurred Saturday afternoon.

"This is it. This is the second signal. I need to leave, and I'm done," Yehudy Lander says. He, along with his pregnant wife and toddler were some of the residents affected.

According to Broward Fire Rescue, 30 apartment were affected, but the cause of the leak was not found.

City Manager Ana Garcia says the building passed all inspections before the pool was filled this past Tuesday.

The property is owned by RKW Residential. NBC 6 reached out to the company but has not received a response.
