Hurricanes Tame Wolfpack for Third Straight Win

The Hurricanes beat NC State on Saturday for their third straight victory

The Miami Hurricanes made it three wins in a row with their 27-13 victory over the NC State Wolfpack on Saturday.

With the winning streak, Miami is now 7-4 on the year with another game to come next week. The Hurricanes have been streaky all season long with four wins followed by four losses. Now with one game on the schedule remaining, Miami could bookend that skid with four-game winning streaks.

Brad Kaaya did not find the end zone in the win, but he still had a big day leading UM's offense down the field. Kaaya went 22-38 on his passes for 286 yards. The junior remained at 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season with this solid effort.

Mark Walton ran the ball in for three touchdowns to continue his productive season. Walton now has 14 rushing touchdowns this season after having nine all of last year. Walton tallied at least one TD in eight of Miami's 11 games with those other three contests all being losses for the team.

An interception by Malek Young was huge in the game. The pick was the first for Young and it sparked a Miami TD which extended the lead to 14 at the time. The freshman has not played much this year, but has made an impact at times.

Miami will finish the regular season next Saturday when it hosts the Duke Blue Devils at Hard Rock Stadium.
